We, the Champagne & Aishihik First Nations’ Housing, Properties and Municipal Services Department, shall provide a variety of housing options, that are appropriate to our citizen’s interests that can instill pride in themselves, their community and to provide and support culturally appropriate community infrastructure.

We were invited up to work on Housing Policies for the CAFN with funding from the First Nations Market Housing Fund and were overwhelmed with the magnificence of the people and the territory. All we could think about was how blessed we are and how many different types of beauty there are in this world.

The CAFN are welcoming, respectful, strong and articulate their vision for their community clearly and passionately. And… we had many belly laughs.

Can’t wait to get back to this beautiful territory and the settlement lands of the CAFN.
