High Performance Envelope
This first class hotel is located at the international airport in Richmond B.C. Canada. This project presented a profound challenge for the design team.
“How do you let our hotel guests sleep when planes are flying day and night?”
Sundog’s solution was to recommend the use of a high performance thermal acoustic curtain wall system.
The sound transmission coefficient (STD) of the glazing system equaled the performance of an 8-inch concrete block wall.
